01 / Survivor advocacy

The teal roaring bear emblem of We Are The Bear

A book became a movement.
And this is just the beginning.

The work that won’t wait

We Are
The Bear.

I didn’t set out to start a movement. I wanted survivors to have a place to tell their stories.

What began as an anthology grew into a responsibility I couldn’t leave on the page. We Are The Bear is becoming a permanent national movement for sexual assault survivors, with their voices at its heart.

Survivor voices

The anthology brings together firsthand accounts shared by survivors. Each contributor’s words and choices matter. My role is to help those voices be heard.

Institutional accountability

I’m pursuing changes to how universities handle sexual assault investigations and challenging systems that let survivors down. Public rallies and conversations are part of that work.

Lasting change

My goal reaches all 50 states and the federal level. I’m building toward legislative reform, continued survivor anthologies, and a movement that keeps showing up.

02 / The written word

Between
the pages.

Real lives. Fractured magic. Complicated people.
I’ve never been very good at staying in one lane.

01

Dark romantasy / Forthcoming

Veilstrider

A fractured mage. A past that won’t stay buried. A family worth fighting for.

Meet Viviana Thorne

Viviana Thorne carves out a new identity in the criminal underworld, fighting in illegal pit matches for coin and searching old books for a way to fix what’s broken inside her.

When her past returns with a dying mother, a vengeful regime, and the lovers she left behind, Viv must fight to protect the family she fled and the sweet storm mage she’d sacrifice it all for.

A podcast with Angelia N. Bailey

Honest conversations. Feral moments.

Let’s talk about
being human.

Creativity, identity, survival, and all the things we don’t always get to say out loud. I sit down with people to understand the human behind the work, the title, and the story.

Bring your curiosity. Get comfortable. There’s room for you in this den.

The thread through it all

A little chaos.
A lot of heart.

I don’t fit into
a tidy little box.

I’m an author, a podcast host, a mother, and the founder of We Are The Bear.

I write quirky, weird, queer, and dark things. Sometimes that means fractured magic and impossible choices. Sometimes it means sitting with the hard parts of being human, or taking a conversation far beyond where I thought it would go.

Across my books, my podcast, and my advocacy, I keep coming back to the same thing: people deserve to be seen, heard, and understood. That’s the work I want to put into the world.
